Job summary

Zota Beach Resort in Longboat Key, FL is seeking a Line Cook to join our team. You will prepare and plate high-quality dishes in a fast-paced upscale kitchen, following recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. This role emphasizes consistency, sanitation, and teamwork to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities include setting up your station, prepping ingredients, maintaining clean stations, and assisting with inventory. Prior line cook experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling.
• Experience as prep or line cook is a plus.
• Professional communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift and is responsible for taking inventory after service.
• Cleans and maintains stations in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time.
