Job summary

Lido Beach Resort on Lido Key, Sarasota, seeks a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team delivering upscale dining experiences with local ingredients.

You will set up stations, prep and cook items, follow recipes, and maintain sanitation standards while collaborating with chefs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Previous line cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift and is responsible for taking inventory after service.
• Cleans and maintains stations in safe, sanitary, and organized condition.
• Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas.

Responsibilities:

• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
• Previous experience a plus
• A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
• Professional communications skills are required
