Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Francisco is seeking an on-call In-Room Dining Server to deliver exceptional service directly to guest rooms. You will manage orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy, privacy, and a memorable dining experience.

Two years in food service is required; luxury hotel experience is preferred. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a food server role is required.
• Previous experience in an In-Room Dining role at an upscale/luxury hotel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly, accurately, and with a friendly, professional approach.
• Providing attentive, personalized service while respecting guest privacy and the hotel’s standards for in-room dining.
• Setting up trays, tables, and in-room dining presentations to ensure orders are delivered beautifully and according to guest requests.
• Reviewing orders for accuracy, including special requests, dietary needs, and beverage selections, before delivery.
• Clearing trays, dishes, and equipment from guest rooms, guest floor hallways, and designated collection areas in a timely manner.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked service areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and hotel procedures while minimizing waste.
• Keeping your supervisor or duty manager informed about guest feedback, service concerns, equipment issues, low supplies, or safety incidents.
• Assisting with set-up, clean-up, and other ad-hoc duties to keep the In-Room Dining operation running smoothly.
