Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant required; at least six months in fine dining/upscale setting.
• Commitment to delivering world class guest service and exceeding guest expectations.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to handle diverse guest situations per Biltmore standards.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced guest service environment.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor per Biltmore standards.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Process guest orders to ensure items are prepared properly and on time.
• Present, open, and pour wine when serving guests.
• Observe diners to ensure satisfaction and respond to requests.
• Total bills and accept payment or refer guests to supervisors.
• Upsell menu items and beverages accordingly.
• Actively work on POS system per guidelines.
• Maintain clean and pressed uniform; ensure footwear is appropriate.
• Arrive ready to start work in full uniform.
• Ensure cutlery, china and glassware are spotless before tables.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Assist bus person with stocking and resetting tables between courses.
• Complete side duties before end of shift and prepare for next meal period.
• Represent Biltmore values and service standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitation-conscious work environment.
• Lift 25–50 pounds and carry serving trays as required.
• Reserve or flex servers may work more than 20 hours per week based on business demand.
