Job summary

Performance Hospitality Management (PHM) is seeking a server to deliver polished, friendly dining experiences from greeting to farewell. You will guide guests through menus, take accurate orders, coordinate with kitchen/bar, and manage payments while upholding service standards.

The role emphasizes upselling, allergen/safety awareness, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment; prior restaurant experience is preferred and certifications such as Food Handler or ServSafe are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year serving experience preferred, high-volume or hotel/ upscale casual a plus.
• Confident menu/wine/beer/cocktail knowledge or ability to learn quickly.
• POS proficiency; clear, courteous communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet tables, present menus, describe specials and answer ingredient/allergen questions.
• Recommend pairings and upsell thoughtfully (apps, sides, desserts, beverages).
• Take accurate orders, input in POS with modifiers and seat numbers; verify before delivery.
• Serve to standard; monitor quality and ticket times; coordinate with expo, kitchen and bar.
• Present checks, process payments, comps/voids, discounts; manage split checks and gratuity.
• Maintain clean, organized sections; follow opening/closing and side-work checklists.
