Job summary

Sure Power is seeking a UPS Service Engineer to refurbish, install, maintain and repair UPS systems for data centers and critical power infrastructure across the continental U.S. The role emphasizes on-site field service, testing, and emergency support.

The candidate should have an Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent training with 2+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years). Proficiency in reading schematics, 3-phase systems, and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with UPS systems, 25KVA and larger.
• Willing to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; on-call.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish, install, maintain, and repair UPS systems.
• Perform on-site commissioning and testing.
• Build battery systems and prepare equipment for shipment.
• Provide emergency on-site support.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control.
• Operate 3-phase/480V and 208V systems.
• Read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Maintain field service reports and customer communications.
• Drive DOT-regulated vehicle and manage inventory.
