Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on UPS field service experience required.
• Strong electrical, electronic and battery knowledge needed.
• Experience with Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Vertiv or similar UPS desirable.
• Factory training would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial/industrial UPS systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and start-ups.
• Diagnose faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers and clamps.
• Complete battery impedance and load testing on storage systems.
• Respond to emergency callouts to minimise downtime.
• Support equipment installations and larger projects.
• Explain operation, faults and corrective actions to customers.
• Complete service reports, timecards and expense documentation.
