Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a field service technician for the Critical Power Group to maintain, service, and troubleshoot UPS systems, batteries, and related equipment at high-profile facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and support engineering across divisions.

The role requires OEM experience in power electronics, strong NEC knowledge, and the ability to work independently with on-site subcontractors. On-call duties and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• AA/BS degree in Electrical and/or Electronics or equivalent field or military training.
• 7+ years OEM experience in power electronics maintenance/repair.
• Experience with UPS systems, batteries, test equipment, and distribution gear.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service on UPS systems and batteries.
• Inspect and certify power electronics and controls per standards.
• Coordinate on-site subcontractors and manage field activities.
• Prepare Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, and Expense Reports on time.
• Provide technical support and maintain documentation for studies/reviews.
