Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years with UPS systems, strong AC/DC knowledge, and experience with batteries. Local travel up to 75% and flexibility for after-hours work are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' hands-on experience with 3-phase UPS systems.
• Strong AC/DC electrical knowledge.
• Experience with UPS batteries and battery maintenance.
• Factory UPS training advantageous.
• Comfortable with extensive regional travel, potentially up to 75%.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

A leading critical power services provider is looking for an experienced UPS Technician to join its growing field service team. The ideal candidate will be based anywhere along the Raleigh to Charlotte corridor, providing good access to customer sites across the region.

The Role

Service, maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase UPS systems

Perform UPS start-ups, commissioning and preventative maintenance

Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimize customer downtime

Work on battery systems, PDUs and static switches

Install and maintain critical power and battery equipment

Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

Provide technical support to customers

Participate in emergency/on-call support when required

Requirements
