Qualifications

• Massachusetts license in Moderate Disabilities PK-8 with SEI endorsement required.
• Additional content area license encouraged.
• Bilingual preferred; languages in community: English, Spanish, Arabic, French.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study meeting individual needs and abilities of students.
• Create a safe, conducive classroom environment.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Employ Universal Design for Learning approaches and appropriate materials.
• Meet students identified by evaluation team with special needs; develop and implement IEPs.
• Provide diagnostic testing and required reports.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and school programs.
• Maintain confidential student records; collaborate with parents and colleagues.
• Supervise teacher aides/volunteers; participate in committees.
