Job summary

Side is seeking a Technical Designer to bridge creative vision and technical implementation for co-development projects. The role emphasizes Unreal Engine 4 expertise, Blueprint hands-on work, and collaboration with narrative and UI teams.

You will lead design efforts across gameplay, systems, and level design, mentor designers, and work with engineering to ensure successful execution on large-scale game projects.

Qualifications

• Deep Unreal Engine 4 expertise with gameplay, systems and level design.
• Hands-on blueprint development and tooling.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills to guide cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototype Blueprint assets into scalable systemic actors using C++ in Unreal Engine 4 when needed.
• Build UI tooling and developer interfaces to surface diagnostics to logs and HUDs.
• Debug and verify large-scale game systems, resolving content or code issues.
• Implement gameplay mechanics and reward systems and integrate quest lines with narrative teams.
