Job summary

Kellogg Community Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative to handle teller duties, open new accounts and originate loans. You will educate members on products, assist the Virtual Solutions Center, and support existing accounts while aiming to meet cross-sell targets.

The role is based at the Gull Rd Branch with float to other Kalamazoo branches as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of banking experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a banking environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to meet and exceed established sales goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher is desired.
• Strong availability Mon-Fri until 6:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Saturday.

Our Member Service Representatives are responsible for providing a variety of services including working the teller line, opening new accounts, originating loans, establishing deposit products, assisting the Virtual Solutions Center, and providing service for established accounts. Our Member Service Representatives ensure members are promptly and professionally served, following all service standards. They also educate members on products and services available at the credit union. MSRs have established goals for cross-selling products and services to members. This role will be based out of the Gull Rd Branch but will float to other branches in the Kalamazoo region as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• A minimum of one year experience in a similar capacity in a banking environment.
• Ability to motivate and influence others.
• Ability to meet and exceed established sales goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher are desired.
• Member Service Representative must have strong availability Monday -Friday until 6:00PM, and 2:00PM on Saturday. Opening is in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
