Columbia Bank New Jersey in Clark, NJ is seeking a Universal Banker to provide a full range of banking services to retail customers, handling both transactional and non-transactional processes and offering personal banking options while delivering traditional services and supporting branch goals.

The role includes processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, online banking assistance, opening new accounts, cross-selling products, and assisting with end-of-day procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and PC skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Attends mandatory training and passes training classes.

Responsibilities

• Process all banking transactions through on-line terminals.
• Open new deposit and checking accounts and explain products to customers.
• Discuss personal financial needs and cross-sell Bank’s products.
• Assist customers with online banking and research inquiries.
• Prepare daily proof sheet and assist with end-of-day closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate customer and account records.
• Refer customers to Wealth Management and other departments.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
