Job summary

Columbia Bank New Jersey is seeking a Part Time Universal Banker to provide a full range of banking services to retail customers, including transactional and non-transactional processes. The role offers customers more personal banking options while still providing traditional services and assists in reaching all goals set for the branch.

Responsibilities include processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers; opening new accounts; discussing financial needs with customers; cross-selling

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting/Business/Finance.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of financial products preferred.
• Interpersonal, time management, organizational and PC skills a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work weekends as needed or scheduled.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Attending mandatory training; continued employment contingent on completing training.

Responsibilities

• Process all banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other daily tasks through online terminals.
• Open new deposit and checking accounts; explain products and services; assist with safe deposit boxes and CDs.
• Discuss financial needs with customers and make recommendations; cross-sell bank products; assist with inquiries and resolve issues.
• Prepare daily proof sheet and assist with end-of-day closing procedures and branch reporting.
• Maintain accurate customer and account records; manage safe deposit box records and branch files.
• Make referrals to Wealth Management and other bank departments; perform other duties as assigned.
