Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Part Time Universal Banker in New Jersey. You will provide a full range of banking services to retail customers, handling both transactional and non-transactional tasks and explaining products to clients.

You will open accounts, assist with documentation, and support in end-of-day processes. The role requires weekend availability, ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and training completion for continued employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of financial products preferred.
• Interpersonal, time management, organizational and PC skills a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work weekends as needed or scheduled.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Candidates must attend mandatory training, continued employment is contingent upon passing training classes.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of banking services to retail customers, including transactional and non-transactional tasks.
• Open new deposit and checking accounts; explain products; assist with documentation and safe deposit boxes.
• Discuss financial needs with customers and cross-sell products and services; interface with other bank departments.
• Prepare daily proof sheet and assist with end-of-day closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate customer and account records and branch files; support referrals to Wealth Management and Mortgage areas.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
