Self-Help is seeking a Universal Banker to join our Wilmington, CA team. The role involves managing the consumer loan process from initiation to closing, providing friendly member service, opening accounts, promoting products, and handling daily cash operations, including vault and ATM balancing.

Bilingual Spanish is preferred and prior banking experience is valued. We require a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to travel to cover other branches as needed.

Qualifications

• Spanish Fluency, verbal and written preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in banking or exposure to Consumer Lending.
• Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; may travel to cover other branches.

Responsabilités

• CONSUMER LENDING: Manage the entire consumer loan process from initiation through closing, including interviewing loan applicants, determining loan eligibility, reviewing applications for accuracy, and providing timely and accurate disclosures while operating with moderate credit authority and complying with the credit union's lending policies.
• MEMBER SERVICING: Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a friendly and professional manner. Open consumer and business accounts according to credit union policies. Promote credit union products and services based on member’s needs.
• CASH HANDLING AND BALANCING: Open, close, and balance the cash drawer daily. Maintain drawer cash levels within prescribed amounts. Balance ATM daily. (Part of dual control team).
