Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Universal Banker to join our team on-site in California. You will perform basic to moderately complex banking transactions, deliver excellent customer service, and support cash balancing and compliance procedures.

The role emphasizes relationship building, opening basic consumer and business accounts, and promoting bank products. Minimum 2 years customer service and 1 year banking/cash handling experience required; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions and processes deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, transfers and mail/night drop transactions.
• Service customers quickly in line while complying with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide comprehensive deposit services to individuals, fiduciaries, and small businesses; open/close accounts and manage statements and checks.
• Assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, and account maintenance; resolve issues.
• Promote banking products and services to meet customer needs; maintain accuracy and compliance.
