Job summary

Truist in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Universal Banker to provide timely client service, process transactions accurately, and build trusted relationships with individuals and small businesses.

You will educate clients on online banking, support sales with outbound outreach, and collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver Truist expertise. This role requires weekend/extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and occasional travel/overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience and handle complex and standardized transactions with a focus on uncovering client needs.
• Educate clients on digital self-service options including Online and Mobile banking.
• Support sales through outbound client outreach and identifying client needs.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist solutions.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Pursue product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies.
• Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
