Job summary

Old Second National Bank is seeking Universal Bankers at Levels I–III to deliver frontline customer service, open and maintain accounts, and cross-sell financial products in a high-volume Chicago area branch. Roles progress from universal banking to relationship banking with escalating responsibilities, including cross-team collaboration and client advisory support.

All levels require on-site availability with typical banking hours; NMLS licensing within 60 days is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; banking, cash handling, customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Must become licensed with NMLS registration within 60 days of starting a role.
• Onsite position with fixed hours including Saturdays; strong compliance and record-keeping are essential.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales and service goals by engaging customers and following up via phone or email.
• Open, close, and maintain customer accounts per policy; learn and apply knowledge to complex retail products.
• Advise customers on Old Second products and services; assist with IRAs and loans as needed.
• Provide high level of customer service to support branch ratings and customer satisfaction.
• Fill in at the Teller line for cash handling, deposits, and withdrawals as required.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory training.
