Job summary

Old Second National Bank in the Chicago area is hiring Universal Bankers at Levels I-III to deliver frontline service, open/close accounts, and cross-sell banking products. Roles require on-site work with branch hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm, Sat 8:30am-1:00pm) and NMLS licensing within 60 days.

Level 1 base pay ranges from $18.10 to $22.50 per hour, with Level 2 and Level 3 progression and incentive opportunities described in the Compensation & Benefits section.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of related experience (banking, cash handling, customer service and/or sales, office, etc.); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must become licensed with NMLS registration within 60 days of assuming role and meet Bank training requirements.
• This is an onsite position requiring availability during branch operating hours, including Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am–1:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Meets sales and service goals by actively engaging in Bank sales processes including profiling, building strong customer relationships, utilizing sales and customer service software, and participating in sales campaigns.
• Accurately opens, closes, and maintains customer accounts according to established policies and procedures.
• Utilizes cross training as a Teller to handle basic transactions including cashing checks, deposits, and withdrawals.
• Maintains a high level of customer service to assist the branch in obtaining the highest customer service ratings.
