Job summary

State Highway Administration in Maryland's District 7 is seeking a Unit Training Coordinator (Administrative Officer III) to lead training across the RC/Office, aligning with Performance Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role oversees budgeting, Cornerstone LMS implementation, and the design and delivery of development programs, mentoring staff, and coordinating external training requests as needed. MDOT offers strong benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: Three (3) years of experience in administrative or professional work.
• Selective Qualification: One (1) year of the required experience must have involved managing, coordinating, and/or assisting with the development or implementation of comprehensive training programs.
• Notes: Substitutions for education or military service may apply; must possess a driver’s license valid in Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all training activities in the office/RC.
• Formulate, monitor and track the fiscal training budget for the office/RC.
• Manage and implement Cornerstone (on-line learning center) and related training processes.
• Design, deliver and coach staff in Professional Development Plan and related programs.
• Assist with various human resource functions as needed.
