Qualifications

• One year of inpatient unit secretary experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience reading and transcribing medical orders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records with proper labeling.
• Transcribe medical orders accurately and distribute to appropriate disciplines.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, staff, and visitors at the nursing station.
• Coordinate unit operations to optimize safe patient care delivery.
• Schedule tests, appointments, and transportation as needed in a timely manner.
