Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights is seeking a Unit Secretary for a part-time role. You will enter department patient treatments and charges to support the healthcare record and assist the care team in coordinating patient activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating communication among care team, physicians, patients and families, and scheduling department procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system. Prior data entry experience and computer literacy preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer preferred.
• Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter department-specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient health care record.
• Assist the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
• Coordinate communication and resources between care team, physicians, patients, and family members.
• In scheduling areas, may coordinate and schedule department-specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.
