Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Unit Secretary in Arlington Heights for a part-time position (3p–11:30p, M–F with weekend/holiday rotation). You will enter department treatments/charges to update patient records and support the care team in coordinating activities and services.

The role requires basic data entry skills, healthcare exposure, and familiarity with medical terminology. Join a team delivering high-quality care across a broad network.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer.
• Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter department-specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record.
• Coordinate patient activities and services with the care team.
• Assist in coordinating communication between care team, physicians, patients and family members.
• Coordinate and schedule department-specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Unit Secretary
• Location: Arlington Heights
• Part Time (30 hrs/wk)
• Hours: 3p to 11:30p M-F (including weekend/holiday rotation)

What you will do:

Reporting to the clinical manager or designee, with accountability to the other caregivers enters department specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record. Assists the care team in coordinating patient activities and services. Assists in coordinating communication and resources between care team, physicians, patients and family members. In ancillary areas, may coordinate and schedule department specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.
