Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights is seeking a part-time Unit Secretary (25 hrs/wk) to support the clinical team. Hours are 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities entering department patient treatments and charges to maintain the health record.

You will assist the care team, coordinate communication among team, physicians, patients, and families, and help schedule department procedures in the hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one-year data or order entry experience preferred.
• Computer literacy with PC applications.
• Experience in healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter department patient treatments/charges to support the patient health record.
• Assist the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
• Coordinate communication between care team, physicians, patients and families.
• In ancillary areas, coordinate and schedule department procedures in the scheduling system.
