Endeavor Health is seeking a Unit Secretary in Arlington Heights for a 3p–11:30p part-time shift. The role involves documenting patient treatments and charges, coordinating patient activities with the care team, and ensuring smooth communication among physicians, patients and families.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and relevant data-entry experience. Healthcare familiarity and medical terminology knowledge are preferred to support accurate clinical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer.
• Proficient with PC applications.
• Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter department-specific patient treatments/charges to manage the patient healthcare record.
• Coordinate patient activities and services with the care team.
• Facilitate communication between care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assist in coordinating and scheduling department procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.
