Job summary

Endeavor Health's Emergency Department in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for evening shifts. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, 3pm–3am, every other weekend, reporting to the ED Manager and supporting both nursing and medical staff in patient care.

Under RN supervision you will provide direct patient care, assist with technical procedures, and help with clerical tasks, stocking, and cleaning to ensure smooth unit operation.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma required.
• Certifications: CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with clinical experience, EMT with field experience; ED Technicians with 2+ years in a comparable institution.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support ED and Treatment Center Nursing and Medical staff in patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform non-licensed technical procedures.
• Direct unit environmental aide as needed and perform clerical, stocking, and cleaning tasks.
