Aviata at Tallahassee Gardens is seeking a Unit Manager RN to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care on the assigned unit. The role emphasizes supervision, data collection, and development of individualized treatment plans for residents.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in administration, and a dedication to compassionate, quality care within a patient- and family-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN.
• Minimum (3) years nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population, with at least 1 year in nursing administration.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Managing staffing needs and supervising nursing staff delivering direct resident care to ensure quality on the unit.
• Assists in staff development.
• Provide direct resident care per established plans.
• Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
• Conduct and document comprehensive data collection of residents’ medical status upon admission and during treatment.
• Assist in development/implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements.
• Coordinate staffing schedules for adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and address grievances with families/staff.
• Complete Preceptor Training.
• Develop and implement new ideas to improve systems and processes and build a successful management team.

Major Responsibilities

Qualifications
