Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Unit Manager (DOC) for Great Plains Correctional Center. This on-site, full-time role leads a multi-disciplinary team within a semi-autonomous unit, overseeing operations and staff supervision.

The position administers unit budgets, negotiates contracts, maintains inmate records, and coordinates with institutional programs. Reports on incidents, food service, and activities are expected, with collaboration on emergency and correctional matters.

Qualifications

• Supervises and evaluates unit staff; provides on-the-job training as required.
• Coordinates unit operations with other institution programs.
• Administers budget work programs; procures equipment; negotiates contracts for services.

Responsibilities

• Maintains offender records for the unit and ensures security and accuracy.
• Chairs the Unit Disciplinary and Classification Committee; may serve on the institutional Disciplinary Committee.
• Liaises with courts, Pardon and Parole Board, and elected officials as needed.
• Submits reports on incidents, meals served, leisure time, and other significant events to the warden or deputy warden.
• Develops and implements inmate programs and negotiates public works contracts as needed.
