Job summary

You will coordinate staffing, manage day-to-day activities, and ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance and safety across the department. A nursing degree and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan (RN).
• Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Advanced certifications preferred (PALS/BLS/ACLS as needed).
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical liaison with staff, physicians, and management.
• Assist managers with hiring, orientation, performance evaluation, staffing, payroll and budget.
• Coordinate department staff schedules and staffing plans with manager input.
• Act as mentor to staff and coordinate patient placements and day-to-day unit operations.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel; support staff development.
