Under supervision, the unit coordinator leads and coordinates staff, serving as a clinical liaison with physicians and management to ensure continuity of leadership and adherence to unit standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification through PQF or NCC required within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff and act as clinical liaison with staff, physicians and management.
• Assist with hiring, orientation, monitoring and evaluating performance.
• Ensure unit standards are maintained and promote a team environment.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet unit needs and budget.
• Interpret regulatory standards and ensure quality of care and audits.
