Job summary

Titan Security in Chicago is hiring union Security Shift Leads to supervise operations at several commercial office buildings in the Loop. You will oversee security officers, coordinate scheduling, and ensure high-quality services to protect people and property on assigned shifts.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED with 3 years of related security experience, 18+ years old, and a valid security license where required. English proficiency is necessary; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 3 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or related experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Security License if required by state, driver's license as applicable.
• Must read/write/speak English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help supervise operations of an assigned Client site on assigned shift.
• Report directly to Site Supervisor/Director and/or Marksman / Titan Management.
• Manage a team of security officers, including scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
• Ensure the Client Site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
• Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, recognition, etc.).
• Provide the basis of a great work environment by treating staff with respect.
• Assist in site-specific training and annual refresher training for staff by adhering to Titan's standards.
• Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports and coordinate investigations.
• Develop/maintain operational procedures and post orders for emergency reference by staff.
• Train and qualify to work assigned post; understand post instructions and emergency post instructions.
• Maintain access control procedures set by building management and utilize access control, visitor management and CCTV systems.
• Identify all tenants/visitors, sign in visitors/vendors, monitor activity.
• Observe departing personnel to guard against theft; monitor security cameras.
• Respond to incidents, conduct general patrols, including stairs and exterior in any weather.
• Stand/sit/walk for extended periods; assist tenants/visitors with directions and information.
• Record data accurately (property damage, incidents, equipment issues).
• Maintain logs pertaining to people or property including packages; provide excellent customer service.
