Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a UNION Operating Engineer in Philadelphia to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, monitor energy management, repair building infrastructure, and respond to emergencies while maintaining safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of related experience, and appropriate trade

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required: Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, High Pressure Boiler License, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per standards and schedules.
• Monitor energy management and building systems to ensure comfort and efficiency.
• Inspect and repair equipment, doors, ceilings, and fixtures as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate findings to supervisor.
• Document activities and comply with safety regulations.
