Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Trade Foreman 2 (Union) – Ironworker to support commercial projects. You will lead a crew, read plans, and ensure safety and quality on site. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision and coordination with subcontractors.

Responsibilities include managing crew size, tracking labor hours, coordinating materials, and enforcing lean practices on the jobsite. Travel may be required; strong communication and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/tech degree preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 2+ years of field supervision experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew on routine and non-routine projects.
• Read and understand plans, specs, shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Coordinate deliveries of supplies and materials to jobsite.
• Track units and labor hours; submit timecards.
• Establish crew sizes aligned with production goals.
• Mentor team members and lead safety activities on site.
• Coordinate inspections for assigned scope of work.
• Maintain quality levels and support lean practices on site.
• Communicate with subcontractors and coordinate trade work.
• Document activities, productions and crew sizes.
