Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a Full Time housekeeping supervisor in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA. The role requires oversight of housekeeping staff, training, and coaching to maintain high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

Weekend and holiday availability is a must, along with a valid driver’s license. This position offers first shift hours with a competitive hourly wage of $23.47 and on-site perks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and provide training and feedback to maximize efficiency.
• Inspect cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back of house for cleanliness and safety.
• Assign tasks to staff and manage special requests to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide supplies to staff at start of shift and control inventory and expenses.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Log items in Lost and Found and respond to inquiries to maintain controls.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to protect assets.

Hourly Rate: $23.47

Shift: 1st; must be available to work weekends and holidays

Position type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency
• Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guest, staff and company assets.
