Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a route service professional to maintain and grow our fire protection servicing route.

You will inspect, service, repair, and install suppression products across multiple lines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. As a trusted advisor, you will provide on-site recommendations, quotations, and solutions to improve building efficiency and resolve service-related issues, while meeting or exceeding quotas set by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma or equivalency.
• Mechanical or electronic experience
• A valid motor vehicle license is required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in restricted areas and adept at maneuvering ladders.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of customerservice
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers
• Need to be a part of local Journeymen 704 union

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire protection customers.
• Inspect, service, repair and install suppression product lines on-site.
• Provide solutions to improve building efficiency and resolve service items.
• Upsell existing customers to new products and services while ensuring code compliance.
• Call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services.
