Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a route-based service and sales professional to service fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, and emergency lights. The role involves upselling to meet current fire code requirements and expanding existing accounts on the route.

Candidates should have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of building codes and safety compliance is preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year experience with service and sales of fire extinguishers, kitchen systems and emergency lights preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Basic understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Background in safety and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage route servicing existing fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods and conduct emergency light inspections.
• Upsell to customers needing product and services to meet compliance with current fire codes.
• Sell new accounts on route based on same compliance criteria.
• Complete all necessary paperwork as needed to meet deadlines.
• Maintain weekly, monthly and annual quotas set forth by suppression manager.
• Comply with customer service obligations set forth by manager and all company policies set forth by Department district.
• Perform other duties set forth by suppression manager.
