Job summary

AXA XL in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team through the life cycle of renewal and prospect accounts with underwriting oversight. You’ll work on Middle Market - Excess Casualty and collaborate with Brokers, Reinsurers and AXA XL units worldwide.

You will pre-underwrite, gather required information, assist in pricing, and help manage workflow to enable policy issuance and premium collection. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related insurance experience and/or training.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-underwrites, evaluates risk and assesses completeness of underwriting packages.
• Communicate with Brokers to collect account and insured information.
• Support line-of-business rules for pre-analysis and submission preparation.
• Collaborate with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and AXA XL units worldwide.
• Assist with pricing, coverage structuring, quotation, and binder packages.
• Manage workflow and track status of tasks across teams.
• Ensure accuracy of data entry and issuance output.
