Job summary

Orchid Insurance, an Arrowhead Intermediaries company, seeks an Underwriting Supervisor to join our growing team in the United States. The role requires proficiency in underwriting, including new and renewal business, and leadership to guide a team through complex cases while ensuring adherence to carrier guidelines and service standards.

The supervisor will support risk assessments, develop training materials, assist with testing, and help drive efficiency and profitability across underwriting

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of California homeowners underwriting experience with wildfire risk assessment.
• Experience underwriting High Value Homes within Surplus Lines preferred.
• Proficient in underwriting including new business and renewals with inspection integration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Underwriting Manager to meet new business production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Develop and maintain Orchid Underwriting service standards and best practices.
• Ensure activities adhere to carrier guidelines and best practices.
• Lead an Underwriting team in service, quality, and production.
• Assist with UAT to validate business functionalities and system improvements.
• Set production and quality goals for new, renewal, and inspection underwriting.
• Provide coverage support to meet client service levels and monitor performance.
