Job summary

Orchid Insurance, an Arrowhead Intermediaries company, seeks an Underwriting Supervisor to guide a growing underwriting team. The role supports new and renewal business, integrates inspection findings, and ensures compliance with carrier guidelines to drive profitability.

The supervisor collaborates on training, process improvements, and performance metrics while coordinating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of California homeowners underwriting experience with wildfire risk assessment expertise.
• Experience underwriting High Value Homes within the Surplus Lines market preferred.
• Florida 2-20 General Lines Agent license or equivalent resident-state license; ongoing licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Underwriting Manager to meet new business production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Develop and maintain Orchid Underwriting service standards and best practices.
• Lead underwriting team in service, quality, and production across new business, renewals, and inspections.
• Assist with UAT to validate business functionalities and system improvements.
• Set and measure production and quality goals for underwriting operations and inspections.
• Provide coverage support to meet client service levels and monitor performance against SLAs.
