Job summary

Orchid Insurance, an Arrowhead Intermediaries company, is seeking an Underwriting Supervisor to join our growing team. The role oversees underwriting decisions, supports risk assessments, and guides a team to maintain service standards and profitability.

Hours are 11:00 AM–8:00 PM ET to support California and West Coast operations. The position requires strong communication, risk evaluation, and leadership abilities within a dynamic underwriting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of California homeowners underwriting experience with wildfire risk assessment and management.
• Proficient in underwriting including new business, renewals, and inspection integration.
• Must possess or obtain a Florida 2-20 General Lines Agent license or equivalent license as required by residence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Underwriting Manager to meet new business production and profitability goals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Orchid Underwriting service standards and best practices.
• Lead an underwriting team in service, quality, and production.
• Support UAT to ensure systems meet operational needs.
• Set production and quality goals for new and renewal underwriting.
