Job summary

CNA Insurance in the United States is seeking an underwriter to manage risk from submission to policy issuance for renewal and new business within limited authority. You will partner with underwriters to provide necessary information for prudent decisions.

The role involves handling endorsements, triaging renewals, documenting files, and supporting pricing strategies while serving as a resource to brokers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of related underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting and insurance products.
• Strong time management and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite risk from submission through policy issuance for renewal and new business within limited authority.
• Partner with Underwriters on all aspects of the underwriting function and provide information to allow prudent decisions.
• Handle endorsements within delegated authority and refer outside of authority for action.
• Triage renewal applications/specs and outline changes for accounts outside authority.
• Assist in marketing products and services through external partners and conduct field visits.
