Arch Insurance Group Inc. in New York seeks a Cohort Leader to manage the learning experience and development of early career underwriting associates within the MCE Academy, a program that develops technical capabilities for Arch’s Middle Market Commercial and Entertainment underwriting organization.

The Cohort Leader will guide an 18-month development journey, coach, mentor, and coordinate training, assess progress, and lead curriculum improvement with a focus on time-to-authority, underwriting

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
• Ten years of underwriting experience in Middle Market or large commercial casualty UW.
• Expertise across Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella, Inland Marine, and Crime.
• Experience with learning and development tools is a plus.
• Certifications such as CPCU are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead as primary Academy leader, coach, and mentor for a cohort of Early Career Program underwriting associates throughout their 18-month development journey.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance discussions, and developmental feedback to support progress.
• Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, case reviews, simulations, and workshops to reinforce underwriting knowledge and business acumen.
• Monitor progress against objectives and authority requirements, providing readiness recommendations.
