Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks a Cohort Leader to manage the learning experience and development of early career underwriting associates within the MCE Academy, a program that develops technical capabilities for Arch’s Middle Market Commercial and Entertainment underwriting organization.

The Cohort Leader will guide 18 months of intensive learning, ensuring proper authority levels by program end, and will drive curriculum gaps, content refinement, and innovative delivery methods while mentoring

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of Commercial Property, Inland Marine, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation and Umbrella.
Experience leading a team of underwriters.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Experience leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary Academy leader, coach, and mentor for a cohort of Early Career Program underwriting associates over 18 months.
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, performance discussions, and developmental feedback.
Facilitate instructor-led training, case reviews, simulations, workshops, and cohort discussions.
Monitor development against objectives and authority requirements; advise on readiness.
Collaborate with supervisors on performance and progression within the cohort.
Identify curriculum gaps and lead continuous improvement of Academy content and delivery.
Leverage learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve engagement and scalability.
Evaluate learner performance and provide actionable coaching recommendations.
Promote underwriting excellence, continuous learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Support fast-tracking time-to-authority and building a sustainable pipeline of leaders.
