Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of Commercial Property, Inland Marine, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation, and Umbrella.
• Experience leading a team of underwriters.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Academy leader, coach, and mentor for a cohort of Early Career Program underwriting associates throughout their 18-month development journey.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance discussions, and developmental feedback conversations.
• Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, case studies, simulations, workshops, and cohort discussions.
• Monitor participant development against learning objectives and authority requirements, advising readiness and progression.
• Collaborate with direct supervisors about performance and on-the-job progress.
• Identify curriculum gaps and lead continuous improvement of Academy content and delivery.
• Leverage learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve engagement and scalability.
• Evaluate learner performance through reviews of work and practical exercises, providing coaching.
• Promote underwriting excellence, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the Academy and broader MCE underwriting organization.
• Support the Academy’s mission of accelerating time-to-authority and building a sustainable pipeline of future leaders.
