Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. in Los Angeles invites applications for a Cohort Leader who will oversee the 18‑month MCE Academy program for early career underwriters within Arch’s Middle Market Commercial and Entertainment underwriting organization.

You will coach, mentor and lead curriculum delivery, measure progress against competency milestones, and partner with supervisors to ensure graduates reach appropriate authority levels and join a high‑performing underwriting team.

Qualifications

• In-depth technical knowledge across Commercial Property, Inland Marine, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers' Comp, and Umbrella.
• Ten years of underwriting experience in Middle Market or large commercial casualty UW.
• Experience leading a team of underwriters and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Early Career Program cohort (18 months) and act as primary Academy leader, coach, and mentor.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance discussions, and developmental feedback.
• Facilitate instructor-led training, case reviews, simulations, and cohort discussions to reinforce underwriting knowledge.
