Job summary

Veit is seeking a Diver/ Dive Tender to join our field operations. You will perform tending, diving, and standby diver tasks on projects ranging from dredging to concrete work, with opportunities to assist other craft workers.

Travel may be required and long hours, including evenings and weekends, are possible. You will follow safety procedures and maintain equipment to ensure project success on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Dive certificate from accredited diving school.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
• Effective communication with coworkers and management.
• Ability to read and understand site plans.
• Ability to problem solve and assist in solutions.
• Must meet attendance schedule as required.

Responsibilities

• Tends, dives, and standby diver as required.
• Inspects and maintains diving equipment and tools.
• Adheres to safety procedures and reports concerns to supervision.
• Maintains clean worksite and proper storage of gear.
• Travels as required for project assignments.
• Supports other craft workers as needed.
