Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor-oriented individuals to join our locator team. You will work in the field, locate underground utilities, and mark sites using a company-provided vehicle. No prior locating experience is required, but safety-minded problem solvers excel.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and accurately; mark locations.
• Photograph each locate and complete necessary documentation.
