Job summary

USIC is seeking individuals who enjoy outdoor field work to join our locating team. You will locate and mark underground utilities such as telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer, ensuring accurate documentation for excavators and property owners.

No prior locating experience is required; we provide 100% paid training, a company vehicle, and a path for advancement. This role requires driving, physical work, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn field locating procedures and ticketing.
• Good communication with crews, homeowners, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately in assigned areas.
• Mark and document utility locations clearly for excavators and operators.
• Photograph each locate and record necessary details in the system.
• Complete locate tickets and maps with precision.
• Work daytime, full-time hours with potential overtime and on-call shifts.
