Job summary

Peabody Energy is seeking an Outby Supervisor for our Shoal Creek Mine in Oakman, Alabama. The role supports development, longwall and production activities while coordinating maintenance and safety procedures to maximize production efficiency.

We expect a minimum of two years of mining experience and a high school diploma or GED; trade certificates are preferred. This safety-sensitive role requires physical fitness and adherence to MSHA standards with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant mining experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Trade Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and production operations to achieve planned production and improvements to mining processes.
• Plan, direct and lead the work of a crew or team.
• Coordinate all aspects of development, longwall, production, and continuous operator activity.
• Liaise with superintendents, supervisors, maintenance staff and contractors.
• Identify potential improvements to the mining process.
• Ensure activities align with development, production forecasts and budgets.
• Monitor actual vs target production and initiate remedial action as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
